A concise history of Dubai
Dubai is thought to have been set up as a fishing town in the mid eighteenth century and was, by 1822, a town of some 700–800 individuals from the Bani Yas clan and subject to the standard of Sheik Tahnun receptacle Shakhbut of Abu Dhabi.
